recently started to watch ( and am currently addicted ) to 还珠格格 again! haha. dont eye-roll me. it is a very nice show! i'm already on to my 2nd episode.

brought back so many nice memories of more than 10 years ago when i was nuts about this show. but watching it now is so different from than in the past. i was only about 10 years old when i watched this show. now, after 11 years, i finally understand from the heart all the intense emotions in this show. it makes me marvel at how time passes, and to think that i would watch this show with a different set of eyes is pretty amazing. 11 years ago, i was just a kid! what did i know. missing that innocence. what struck me was this song that i heard during the show. it hit me so hard. although only the melody was played and without the lyrics, i had no idea why that wave of emotions just came by. haha. interesting. i have no idea either.

here's the song:

i truly admire the way the chinese language is used in such beauty to bring out beautiful emotions and meaning that honestly, english cant . it's a shame that i'm not as proficient in chinese as i am in english. this show demonstrates the beauty of chinese. an example of which is demonstrated in this poem. such simple words but the dynamics and meaning behind this poem is so much. i thank God for this love and appreciation for language. no wonder i love lit!

你是风儿
我是沙
风儿萧萧
沙儿飘飘
风儿吹吹
沙儿飞飞
风儿飞过天山去
沙儿追过天山去

i'm not being all romantic or love-struck here. just feel very touched and moved by the beauty behind the play of words and also the meaning that is behind all these.unlike the past when i knew nothing, now, i feel it and somehow understand it too.

That's me!

living on God's faithfulness day by day
"But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water.Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit" Jeremiah 17:7-8
